Atlantic City, New Jersey

Oasis stayed put in Atlantic City for a few days due to bad weather from the tropical storm Lee.
This city boost world renowned casinos, night shows, restaurants and blackjack dealers.

Hopping from one hotel to another was easy. This Jitney Bus System gets you anywhere in Atlantic City. Cost $2.25 each time you hop on it.

Barnegat Bay NJ to Atlantic City NJ

Due to heavy fog and shifting sand bars at Barnegat Bay Inlet, Oasis did a U-Turn in the channel and pursued  her journey into the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway to Atlantic City.

It is not advise to enter the channel at Barnegat Bay Inlet in heavy fog.

Close call for Oasis's mast. She had to make sure the wind indicator was not lined up with the directional lighting under the bridge.

The captain is pleased that Oasis went under the bridge safely.

Brielle NJ to Barnegat Bay NJ

 

The Manasquan River marks the start of New Jersey's Intercoastal Waterway. Oasis navigated through bascule, vertical lift and fixed bridges, the firsts of many more. Calm waters in the first leg of the journey up to 20 knots of wind by the end of the day.

Staten Island, NJ to Brielle, NJ.

The first Coastal Sailing of the First Mate and the new crew. From light to 20 knots wind and waves up to 6 feet by the end of the day. Oasis and the crew were very pleased with the warm welcome from the commodore and dock master of the Manasquan River Yacht Club in Brielle, NJ.

Oasis will say Bye to Luc, Denise, Alexia and Yanik. Captain Jean Guy and First Mate Roselind really enjoyed spending time with them.
Joining Oasis is Jacques and Annie Vautour, nephew and wife of the First Mate.
