Oasis left St Augustine Municipal Marina at 07:40 for her journey to Daytona Beach, Florida. In the morning, there were cloudy skies and not much wind, from 2 to 6 knots of E-SE wind. Oasis motored all day and in the afternoon, the captain opened the jib for about half an hour. Today's trip was a little bit of a challenge with ten bridges to cross, six of them being fixed and four bascules which opened on request. All went well! Navigating further south on the ICW, there were less marches and wildlife, more housing and developed areas especially on the Atlantic Coastline with it's condos and hotels. At 14:45, Oasis was docked at the Halifax River Yacht Club in Daytona Beach. Afterwards, the couple walked downtown and did some sightseeing and enjoyed the beautiful weather, the meter was at 26 degrees C, the warmest day so far.
For the next couple of days, Jean Guy and Roselind relaxed and went to the beach. On saturday afternoon, the couple spend time with Jackie, Romeo's daughter from Shediac and her husband Robert. After we met at the beach, the four of us went to see a hot rod show and went to dinner later at night. We really enjoyed our evening with them.
At low tides, flock of birds on a sand bar.
As you can see, there is sand on the edges of the ICW in some places.

The wind picked up a bit, so the captain decided to open Oasis's jib but only lasted for about half an hour.
Living on the boat. On top deck, someone painting the deck. It will take quite a long time if he plans to do the whole boat!
